Was purchased from Nordstroms. The measurement of 48" and 1.5" wide...is approximate and completed by me.  It is tip to tip which includes the clips that attach to your handbag. THE COLOR IN PERSON MAY APPEAR LIGHTER OR DARKER DEPENDING ON YOUR MONITOR/MOBILE DEVICE SETTINGS AND LIGHTING. The factory color is Navy Multi.  Its a navy blue color and the glitter sparkles has a variation of color in the light.  The underside of the strap is solid leather and black in color.
